Team Building 2.0

Let's get started, first you need to map out how your team/salesforce is doing business.

  1. Are you using ad campaigns to build across the US or over seas?
  2. Do you have a team meeting once a week or conference calls?
  3. How do you get your team its current info?
  4. Where do you send a prospect to watch or hear a presentation?
  5. Where do you keep your teams important papers, emails, pictures, trainings, etc
  6. Are a lot of your team members using social sites like facebook, linked in, or twitter?
  7. Does your company have a corporate blog, fan page, you tube channel or twitter account?

If you are doing 1-5 that is a static team site. If your team and company are utilizing 6-7. I would seriously consider a social team site.

For a social team site to be effective you will need a team of people to help you manage or out source to. This is the best way to go. Managing a social site for one person can be a time consuming job. Having your team of leaders get involved in this project gives everyone a sense of team and being united. Having the social piece gives your team site a huge edge! New customers and team members can see and feel the culture of your team.

A static site (still effective) you can manage with one or two people. You can provide the information, presentations, training and team communication all in one place and still show the culture of your team through team pictures.

Both sites are a great presentation tool. Never underestimate the power of teams, simple systems and recognition. When you have teams all over the United States and Canada is great to have one spot they can all call home.
